5 Cafes You Should Visit in Jeju
Jeju Island, also known as the "Island of the Gods," is a popular vacation destination located off the southern coast of South Korea. Known for its beautiful beaches, natural landscapes, and delicious food, Jeju is a must-visit for any traveller. One of the best ways to experience Jeju is by visiting its many cafes, which offer a variety of delicious drinks and treats. Here are my top five cafes that I recommend you visit in Jeju. 1. INNISFREE JEJU HOUSE DESSERT CAFE (이니스프리 제주하우스)
Located among the tea plantations, this cafe is known for its delicious and Instagram-worthy view, desserts and drinks. From green tea mountain cake to Jeju famous tangerine ice cream, there's something for everyone here. The cafe boasts a beautiful view of the tea fields, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing morning. 2. JEJU GRIMMS' FAIRYTALES STARBUCKS (스타벅스 제주중문점)
This unique Starbucks’ exterior is inspired by the stories of the Brothers Grimm. The cafe features beautiful murals inspired by fairytales, making it a must-visit for any fan of the stories. 3. ORDA CAFE & BAKERY (오르다 & 베이커리)
One of my favourite cafes in Jeju is located on a cliff overlooking the ocean. This cafe and bakery is known for its “Stairway to heaven” Instagrammable stairs, beach club inspired garden and bright indoors area. From garlic bread to rich cakes, there's something for everyone here. The cafe also serves a variety of coffee and drinks. 4. JJOKKEULLAK (쪼끌락)
This beachside cafe is known for its iced lates, where coffee gets served to you in an ice cube shaped as hareubang dol (large rock statues found all over Jeju island). You can enjoy a beautiful ocean view whilst you wait for your coffee to melt into a drinkable form. 5. GONGBECH CAFE (공백)
This cafe and bakery is especially popular among BTS fans, as it was opened by Min Geum Jae, BTS’s Suga’s (Min Yoongi) brother back in 2019. Even though the cafe is no longer ran by Suga’s brother, its innovative combination of a cafe and open space art gallery will impress any art lover who likes open space, nature and beautiful ocean views.
